TriSports.com to be Official Store of Andy Potts
TriSports.com is pleased to announce we are the official retail store for World Champion Andy Potts! Andy’s dedication and passion for the sport of triathlon and leading an active healthy lifestyle makes him right at home in the TriSports.com family. Not only is Andy an incredible athlete, he is also a warm, funny and friendly individual, representing and setting the example for outstanding sportsmanship and professionalism.

Andy’s athletic career began as that of a swimmer where he participated in the 1996 Olympic Trials. Andy was a 6-time NCAA All-American swimmer for the University of Michigan as well as a member of the University track team in his final year of school. Andy’s foray into triathlon quickly earned him recognition and he was named the 2003 USAT Rookie of the Year as a first year professional. As the years have passed Andy has collected a number of impressive results including 7th Overall/1st American in his Ironman debut at the 2008 Ironman World Championships, Ironman 70.3 World Champion, 2 time Escape from Alcatraz Champions and the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Triathlete of the Year.

Andy also represented the USA in the 2004 Olympic Games in the sport of triathlon. Andy pulls his inspiration from his biggest fans and supporters – his wife, Lisa and son, Boston. In 2004 Lisa was diagnosed with cancer and witnessing her struggles with surgery and treatments gave him a unique perspective on life and priorities. Andy is passionate about cancer research and will no doubt in the future find himself knee-deep into charitable fundraising for new treatments and ultimately a cure.

Watch for Andy out on the race course in 2009 in several of the major Olympic and 70.3 races including St. Anthony’s, Escape From Alcatraz, Wildflower, Lifetime Fitness Triathlon and many more races, culminating with his second appearance at the 2009 Ironman World Championship! We wish Andy the best of luck this season! You can keep up to date on his schedule, race results, blog and sponsor news right here on AndyPotts.TriSports.com!
